We perform many types of soft tissue surgeries at our clinic. Soft tissue surgeries are those that are not associated with bone, but involve muscle and fat. The most common soft tissue surgery performed on pets is a lumpectomy, or mass removal surgery. Masses are often removed to ensure they are not cancerous, or if they are, to help identify the type of cancer and provide the owner with treatment options. Masses can also be removed because they are affecting movement or causing other problems for the pet.
