Travel Certificates

If you want to travel internationally with your pet, planning ahead is a must! We can only accommodate requests that are made at least 1 month before your travel date. Since each country has different requirements, you will have to contact the embassy or consulate of the country you will be traveling to in order to find out their procedures for traveling with your pet. This process must be started well in advance.

Though every country has unique requirements, most require a health certificate that is done by a USDA-accredited veterinarian. We are very fortunate to have a USDA-accredited veterinarian on our team. However, since the process is very extensive and the demand is sometimes very high, we can only perform these services on a case-by-case basis.

Prior to scheduling your pet’s examination, you will need to make sure we have all of your pet’s previous medical records, and we will go over the forms that you need for this process. We may be required to run some tests to ensure that your pet is healthy enough for travel. We may also have to treat your pet prior to traveling.

You will always need a health certificate and proof of vaccination to travel with your pet. A microchip and blood tests are often also necessary. Many countries require that your pet get treated for parasites prior to travel.
